Day 4--Sketching
Fun fact to know and tell: my 2013 Creating Challenge was almost one of 365 days of sketching. Sketching is definitely a practice I could afford to do regularly, but when considering The Challenge I didn't know if I could maintain a commitment to that. I'm the type of person who likes and needs variety. That said, I do want to sketch frequently because I've read in many different places that it can greatly improve one's artwork.
So, above is a sketch for the Challenge. I hope it's the first of many. I'm currently attracted to teacups. I like to drink tea, first of all, so I often have a teacup nearby. Secondly, teacups come in a variety of shapes that I want to explore. As well, those shapes are relatively simple ones, giving me the opportunity to explore nuances and focus on shading.
Enjoy!
P.S. Confession: I sketched this yesterday, and put it in my Creating Challenge rainy-day fund. I had a hunch a time would come when I would need a bonus creation from a previous day. Today's the day! It's all good--I made my Creating Challenge rules flexible for that exact purpose!

I love your willingness to explore and challenge yourself, while at the same time being kind to yourself! Love the tea cup...looking forward to more sketches as they come. :)
